The University Centers for Career Development (UCCD) project is proudly launching its Fifth Virtual Career Expo in alignment with Egypt 2030 vision for job creation and youth empowerment initiatives. The event is an annual tradition hosted in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and with the collaboration of 23 Egyptian Universities. The event will be attended by over 6,000 students/alumni and sponsored by major local and international companies.
This year’s Career Expo brings together the hiring needs of employers and matches it with qualified, diverse and talented candidates including students/alumni with disabilities to promote inclusive work environment. Employers leverage this event to recruit for internships and employment opportunities at their workplace.
The UCCD 2024 Virtual Career Expo will host top notch employers and students from across 19 governorates in Egypt – from Aswan to Alexandria. The platform is a blended, accessible digital environment that will create an excellent networking hub and a channel to access top tier Egyptian talent. Employers and university students will meet and interact through this virtual environment, using chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars, panel discussions and/or email to exchange information about career openings. Job seekers, final year students and recent graduates upload their resumes, browse companies’ “exhibits”, have live chats with corporate representatives, download corporate material and attend webinars and panel discussions. The platform uses a dynamic platform to help employers in breaking free from all the limitations of the traditional hiring events. By providing a 3-D online platform, employers and job seekers can now connect in a virtual setting mimicking the feel of a physical event.
